Going States grocery shopping means buying some ice cream! The States sells branded ice cream like Ben & Jerry’s, Haagen Daaz and Dreyers for ridiculously cheaper prices than in Canada! Decided to try this pistachio flavour Ben & Jerry’s and it actually has pieces of pistachio nuts in it. Has a great pistachio flavour and the bits of nuts in it gives it a great texture. Delicious!
I don’t think we have this in Vancouver yet, but correct me if I’m wrong! Finally got to try the Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino Ice Cream from the States! It’s like Frappuccino drink but in the form of ice cream! So good!! The consistency is great and this mini pint was only 99cents! What a steal! I hope this comes to Vancouver soon! They had other flavours too, like Mocha Frappuccino and Coffee! I hear they have new flavours like Peppermint Mocha too! Got to get my hands on those next time!
Tried these Calbee chips that were Korean Cuttlefish flavour! The typical Calbee chip texture with the wave cut and they actually had a strong cuttlefish flavour to them! I think it’s supposed to taste like the barbecued cuttlefish in Korean dishes. They also have a hint of spice to them, which makes them real zesty! You can get these at most Asian supermarkets. Great snack!
Finally tried the Haagen-Dazs Midnight Cookies & Cream pint of ice cream that I had bought a while back in the States. Not sure if they sell it in Vancouver, since it’s limited edition. Their description is “smooth, chocolate ice cream seduced by buttery fudge and chocolate cookie wafers make for a perfect midnight, or anytime treat.” And yes, it definitely met the description! Yum!
